Book Tour: Marian's Christmas Wish
Book Tour: Marian's Christmas Wish by Carla Kelly
Christmas is such an emotional time of year. It often is a time of reflecting on loved ones not with us, for whatever reason, and a time of closure on the current year as we begin to look forward to the upcoming year. I adore historical romance novels, especially this time of year. It's nice to sit inside on a cold, dreary day and read such fascinating stories. I love the manner in which the characters speak to one another, how they interact, and the properness of everything.
In this story, I love how Marian is so proper and headstrong. She has seen how other women seem to lose their sensibilities when they fall in love, and she has vowed not to let that happen to her. Until, a dashing gentleman invades her heart. She soon learns that one cannot control matters of the heart. As always, I don't want to spoil the story for you by revealing too much, I'll just say that I truly enjoyed this book. It was very well written, the story is captivating, and you won't regret spending the time getting lost in this tale.
Miss Marian Wynswich is a rather unconventional young lady. She plays chess, reads Greek, and is as educated as any young man. And she s certain falling in love is a ridiculous endeavor and vows never to do such a thing. But everything changes when she receives a Christmas visit from someone unexpected--- a young and handsome English lord.
