Book Tour and Giveaway: Farsighted

Book Tour and Giveaway: Farsighted by Emlyn Chand

Most of y'all know by know that I am not a huge fan of paranormal or vampire books, but I was intrigued by this book because it's a YA book ( I knew it wouldn't be too graphic) and because the main character is blind, was bullied, but refused to be a victim. I find that to be inspiring, and am always looking to read stories of that nature, to use as inspiration for Aaron. This book was very fast paced, and I found that I truly enjoyed the story. The author was very unique in how she came from the perspective of a blind person, it was very believable, and the paranormal wasn't so out there that I couldn't enjoy the meat of the story. I also enjoyed the mystery aspect, and trying to predict the ending. I've included a blurb about the book below for you to enjoy, and the author has also generously donated an e-copy of this book to one reader. Just complete the Rafflecopter form to enter:)

Book Description:

Alex Kosmitoras may be blind, but he can still "see" things others can't. When his unwanted visions of the future begin to suggest that the girl he likes could be in danger, he has no choice but to take on destiny and demand it reconsider.
Alex Kosmitoras's life has never been easy. The only other student who will talk to him is the school bully, his parents are dead-broke and insanely overprotective, and to complicate matters even more, he's blind. Just when he thinks he'll never have a shot at a normal life, a new girl from India moves into town. Simmi is smart, nice, and actually wants to be friends with Alex. Plus she smells like an Almond Joy bar. Yes, sophomore year might not be so bad after all.
Unfortunately, Alex is in store for another new arrival--an unexpected and often embarrassing ability to "see" the future. Try as he may, Alex is unable to ignore his visions, especially when they begin to suggest that Simmi is in danger. With the help of the mysterious psychic next door and new friends who come bearing gifts of their own, Alex must embark on a journey to change his future.

I think the best book I read this year was Last sacrifice. I was worried because it's such a large book but it was great.

I am a HUGE Sherilynn Kenyon Fan and I have been hooked on her Dark Hunter and Dream Hunter series that are linked in the same world. She produced the book 'Archeron' finally and I loved it because he is such an indepth character with a HUGE history.

Hi Karen. Thanks for this kind review. I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed Farsighted, and I'd love to know more about this Aaron fella. Do you think he and Alex would be friends in the fiction world?

One quick favor to ask: Would you mind cross-posting this lovely review to Amazon and GoodReads? It really helps up exposure for newbie authors like myself.

Thanks a mil, and good luck to all the contest entrants!
